AATS/JATS Mitral Conclave

The 2026 AATS/JATS Mitral Conclave is a collaborative effort between the American Association for Thoracic Surgery and the Japanese Association for Thoracic Surgery. The program focuses on the technical aspects of mitral valve repair and replacement in a variety of complex anatomical and patient settings, explored through case presentations and invited talks, presented by world-class faculty. Join us for this opportunity to engage in the international exchange of ideas between world-class faculty.

Young Investigator Award
At the AATS/JATS Mitral Conclave the JATS 79th Annual Meeting will be hosting a Young Investigator Award session on October 23 at 7:00AM. This program invites JATS-NEXT members aspiring to become Mitral Surgery Specialists to present their concepts, approaches, and new ideas for mitral valve or tricuspid valve lesion surgery currently performed at their respective institutions in a 4-5 minute video presentation. Outstanding presenters will be awarded the right to present at the Mitral Conclave held in New York in 2027.
Mitral Video Competition
At the AATS/JATS Mitral Conclave the JATS 79th Annual Meeting will host a Mitral Video Competition session on October 23 at 3:30PM (tentative). We invite you to present your surgical concepts, unique approaches, and new ideas for mitral or tricuspid valve surgery currently being performed at your institution in a video of six minutes or less. The best presentation will be awarded the right to present at the Mitral Conclave held in New York in 2027.
