Gary Ahlquist

Gary Ahlquist is a Senior Executive Advisor in PwC Strategy &’s global health business. Mr. Ahlquist served on Strategy & Board of Directors prior to its merger with PwC. He has been Managing Partner of its Global Health Group, the Chicago office and was President, Booz Allen Healthcare, Inc.

Mr. Ahlquist’s client work centers on enterprise and business unit strategy engagements across the health sector. He has advised on matters of strategy, governance, operating model, M&A, diversification, and cost reduction.

In his 40 years of consulting, Mr. Ahlquist has led strategic programs with over 100 client Boards, and senior executive teams. His client base comprises primarily provider systems and health insurers but spans virtually all segments including pharmaceuticals, PBMs, supplies, digital and private equity firms.

He has been published widely on the future of the healthcare industry, including numerous articles on the industrialization of healthcare, consumerism in health, risk-based strategies, growth and operating models.

Mr. Ahlquist created the RACI model used widely in decision making design across the globe.
