Dr. Burt is Professor and Chief of the Division of Thoracic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He is Feature Editor for the Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. Dr. Burt is a surgeon-scientist with an NIH-funded laboratory and an active research program in thoracic oncology. Dr. Burt is also a clinical trialist who leads several investigator-initiated clinical trials in immuno-oncology.
