Varun Puri, MD, MSCI is Professor of Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis. He is the Associate Surgical Director of Lung Transplantation and the Program Director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency Program.
Dr. Puri received his medical degree from All India Institute of Medical Sciences. He completed his residency in general surgery at Creighton University in 2007 and his fellowship at Washington University in 2009. Dr. Puri obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation at Washington University in 2014.
His research interests include understanding outcomes after resection for lung cancer and optimizing donor care in lung transplantation.
